A highly sought-after opportunity to work with a well-established bespoke joinery manufacturer based out of Holmfirth. This is a full time, permanent position and the ideal candidate will be responsible for operating woodworking machines to cut, shape, and finish timber products. This role may also include bench hand joinery tasks, requiring precision and a keen eye for detail.

The Duties

• Use machines such as planers, thicknessers, moulders, saws, to shape and finish wood products to specified dimensions.
• Perform joinery tasks including measuring, cutting, and assembling wood components using hand tools and machinery.
• Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards, with attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of woodworking machines and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.

 

The Requirements

• Proven experience as a Wood Machinist and or Bench Hand Joiner.
• Proficiency in operating woodworking machines and tools. Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus.
• High level of precision and attention to detail in joinery tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to woodworking machinery.
• Good physical condition and the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
• Relevant certifications in woodworking or joinery are desirable.
